LECTURERS OF THE AGRIBUSINESS STUDY PROGRAM OF THE UNILA FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE PARTICIPATE IN COMPETENCY ASSESSOR TRAINING AT PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION INSTITUTE UNIVERSITY DR. SOETOMO SURABAYA

The S1 Agribusiness Study Program always strives to improve the quality of the tridharma activities of higher education. The hope is that quality graduates (agricultural graduates) will be produced and be able to support the development process and be competitive in entering the workforce both locally, nationally and internationally. To achieve this goal, lecturers are needed who have adequate field expertise qualifications to become student competency assessors. Lecturers are expected to have competence in accordance with their expertise. Thus, it is very important to support lecturers in obtaining professional competency certification as an assessor from the National Professional Certification Institute (NPCI)

The purpose of the Competency Assessor Training is to improve the capabilities of Agribusiness study program lecturers through competency certification, increase the number of Agribusiness study program lecturers who have competency certification and improve the quality of the tridharma of PT. Harapannya is that in the future, all lecturers of the S1 Agribusiness study program can have certificates of competence that are recognized in the business world and the world of work. The activity began with the preparation and socialization of the activity plan to the lecturers of the Agribusiness study program. The head of the study program selects lecturers who meet the criteria for competency assessor training based on the peer group and knowledge of the lecturers of the Agribusiness study program. This was done so that competency assessor training participants could represent all agribusiness management occupations.

Participants who took part in this Competency Assessor Training activity were lecturers of the Agribusiness study program who had met the requirements of the relevant Professional Certification Agency as many as 12 people, namely:

  1. Competency Scheme for Human Resource Management (HRM) Managers: Dr. Ir. Wuryaningsih Dwi Sayekti, M.S., Dr. Teguh Endaryanto, Ir. Rabiatul Adawiyah, M.S., and I Rani Mellya Sari, S.P., M.Si.
  2. Financial Manager Competency Scheme: Dr. Ir. Fembriarti Erry Prasmatiwi, M.P., Dr. Ir. R Hanung Ismono, M.P., Yuliana Saleh, S.P., M.Si., and Dewi Mulia Sari, S.P., M.Si. Marketing Manager Competency Scheme: Dr. Dyah Aring Hepiana Lestari, M.S., Dr. Ktut Murniati, MTA, Dr. Novi Rosanti, S.P., M.E.P., and Dian Rahmalia, S.P., M.Si.

About one week before attending the competency assessor training, the participants were given a briefing. This briefing is intended so that participants can prepare everything needed during the competency assessor training. The briefing was given directly by Mr. Ir. Fauzan Murdapa, M.T. as the Head of PCI (Professional Certification Institute) University of Lampung.

A few days before the training began, PCI Dr. Soetomo University sent an invitation letter to participants of the competency assessor training activities. The letter contains the time and schedule of activities and requirements that must be met by the competency assessor training participants. Competency assessor training is held from November 29 to December 03, 2022. Participants must bring a laptop and be able to operate a computer, know the basis of competency-based training, bring INWCS, photocopy of ID card, photocopy of the last diploma, certificate of technical competence / proof of experience in their field for at least 3 years / teaching certificate for lecturers for at least 3 years. In addition, participants are also required to bring a letter of assignment from the original PCI or from the original agency.

The competency assessor training was given by two NPCA (National Professional Certification Agency) master assessors, namely Mrs. Windiyati Wahjudi Nugroho, S.Pd., M.Pd. with Reg number. MET number 000.000142.2007 and Dr. Ir. Suyanto, M.M. with Reg number. 000.002638.2014. The materials provided include: (1) understanding and internalizing competency-based assessment, (2) planning assessment activities and processes, (3) contributing and validating assessments, (4) carrying out assessments. After the training, participants took the Competency Assessor Candidate Assessment (ACA). The assessment was conducted by two master competency assessors from NPCA, Wika Watiningsih and Dimas Andyan I, D.

The competency assessor training that has been carried out for five days has produced very satisfying results. A total of 12 lecturer participants from PS. Agribusiness passed and met the criteria to become competency assessors. After the training ended, competency training certificates were given to all participants, but for the assessor registration number must wait for the file submission process to NPCA first.

With the graduation of 12 lecturer participants from the Agribusiness Study Program, the Agribusiness study program together with PCI University of Lampung has the right to build a competency scheme in agribusiness management occupations. In addition, the 12 lecturer participants who have passed are also entitled to carry out assessments of students who take competency tests.
